Full-Time Business Writer

Job Description

Our client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Business Writer who will play a crucial part in transforming intricate technical documentation, including regulatory requirements and standards, into clear and user-friendly formats tailored for internal use within our customer’s workforce.

Your expertise will ensure that content aligns with federal regulations, state requirements, and various industry standards such as OSHA, MSHA, OH&S, ANSI, ISO, NFPA, NEC, ASTM, ASME, and others.

The starting rate for this role is 5 USD per hour.

Job Responsibilities

Business Writing:

  • Draft and edit clear and concise business documents related to workplace safety.
  • Ensure that all written materials comply with relevant regulatory codes and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and align content with company objectives.

Product Research

  • Conduct thorough research on our products, including features, benefits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Use research findings to enhance the content of product-related documents and products.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulatory codes affecting our products.

Quality Assurance

  • Review and revise existing documents to improve accuracy, readability, and compliance.
  • Maintain a repository of standardized document templates for various product offerings.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business writing, contract drafting, or similar roles.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex information.
  • Familiarity with regulatory codes relevant to our industry and products.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office or similar software.

System Requirements

  • At least 15mbps for the main internet and at least 10mbps for backup
  • A desktop or laptop that has an i5 processor with at least 8 GB RAM and an i3 processor for backup
    • Note: Back-ups should still be able to function when there is a power interruption
