About You:

You have a strong command over written English. You can use slang, humor, idioms, and other techniques that would indicate native writing (bonus points if you’re a native English speaker)

You understand the importance of writing for Search Engines, and aren’t afraid to weave in the required keywords to your natural writing on a topic.

You enjoy creative writing, and can craft a compelling narrative around a topic.

You’re organized, reliable, and like the idea of collaborating with a team day-to-day

This isn’t a “do what you want role” – we have team meetings Monday-Friday, and want a candidate that thrives in a team environment.

You actually enjoy writing, and aren’t doing this just for a “job” (we love when our team loves what they do!).

You’re a lifetime learner, always looking for ways to improve yourself.

Responsibilities:

Create engaging content for our network of sites

Stay on trend with insights, tips, techniques, and best practices from the industry

Perform under tight deadlines to deliver your work

Edit or rewrite your content based on feedback from editors

Join (& participate) in our daily writer meetings, Monday through Friday

You can work outside of USA hours, but you need to be willing to show up for meetings at 9AM Eastern Standard Time

Within 1 Month You Will:

Be responsible for writing 3,000 words per day

Be coached-up to following our guidelines and outlines

Within 3 Months You Will:

Become completely independent when it comes to writing
Deliver all work on time, with quality

Not require a ton of editor revisions, and can consistently build “new” content

Within 6 Months You Will:

Have a lot of personal autonomy

Grow into a role of guiding / leading other writers, if that’s something you’re interested in!

Become a strong creative writer, able to grasp things like visual analogies, native slang, and pop-culture references
