Position Overview

The Junior Offline Editor at The Social Craft plays a pivotal role in the post-production process, collaborating closely with senior editors and the creative team to transform raw video footage into polished sequences that resonate with our target audience. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, the Junior Offline Editor is responsible for refining video footage, ensuring seamless transitions, and maintaining the overall visual aesthetic of our brand narratives. 1. Footage Organization:

  • Ingest, log, and organize raw video footage according to project specifications.
  • Maintain an organized file structure to facilitate efficient editing workflows.

2. Assembly Editing:

  • Assemble rough cuts and stringouts based on the script, interview, storyboard, or director’s vision.
  • Arrange footage in chronological order and select the best interview takes for further refinement.

3. Sequence Editing:

  • Cut and trim footage to create seamless transitions and maintain pacing.
  • Incorporate B-roll to enhance storytelling and engagement.

4. Collaborative Workflow:

  • Collaborate with senior editors, directors, and producers to understand project goals and requirements.
  • Implement feedback and revisions to refine edits and meet client or production expectations.

5. Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to edit and manipulate footage effectively.
  • Familiarize yourself with editing techniques, keyboard shortcuts, and best practices to streamline workflows.

6. Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure video and audio quality meet industry standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks to identify and address any technical issues or inconsistencies.

7. Creative Contribution:

  • Offer creative input and ideas to enhance the storytelling and visual appeal of the final product.
  • Experiment with different editing techniques and effects to achieve desired outcomes.

8. Professional Development:

  • Continuously expand your skills and knowledge through training, workshops, and self-directed learning.
  • Seek mentorship and feedback from senior editors to accelerate your growth and development.


  • Previous experience or coursework in film production, video editing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and visual media.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in film production, media studies, or a related field is a plus.
