The position is based out of our New York City office located near Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan. Description
As OpenAsset’s Director of Content Marketing, you’ll own the Marketing team’s content strategy and will ensure we are providing ideal customer experiences for users. By leveraging a best-in-class Marketing Technology stack and all the channels at your disposal, you will create awareness and demand of OpenAsset, ultimately driving Marketing and Sales velocity.
You will report directly to the VP of Marketing and will manage the Content Marketing team. You’ll partner internally with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Marketing Operations, Partnerships, and Sales Development. You will manage external relationships with agencies, freelancers, and industry experts.
Director of Content Marketing Responsibilities
- Own our digital content strategy globally, ensuring that content is aligned to the buyer’s journey and drives prospect’s down the sales funnel
- Drive amplification of content through different marketing channels and collaborate with product marketing, marketing operations, and demand generation team members on content distribution
- Manage the global editorial calendar in coordination with the rest of the marketing team
- Build relationships with industry experts, including practitioners and thought leaders. You will also be focused on public relations and analyst relations initiatives
- Manage production of content with external design resources. Oversee feedback and approvals, deliver projects on time, and identify process efficiencies
- Ensure all content is optimized for its intended channel. Partner with our SEO agency to improve keyword rankings and optimize content for search performance
- Contribute to our partnership efforts and work with other partners on joint marketing efforts, including webinars, eBooks, and product launches
- Manage our Content Management System (CMS) and our Content Experience Platform (CEP)
- Own content performance metrics, monitoring engagement and analyzing data
Director of Content Marketing Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in B2B SaaS with a deep understanding of content marketing
- Experience in editorial, either in a newsroom or corporate setting
- Skilled at both long-form content creation and real-time content creation and distribution strategies and tactics
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Sound judgment and commitment to editorial integrity
- Well versed in content strategy concepts with a brand publisher mindset
- Exceptional strategic thinking, project management, and execution skills
- Portfolio of work that demonstrates versatility across multiple formats
- Experience managing freelancers, vendors, and/or an in-house team
- Experience working with marketing automation software (Marketo)
