Who You Are
Brightwheel is seeking a Content Writer to join the Content Marketing team. Brightwheel has a unique opportunity to shape the way our industry evolves its practices and improves early childhood development, making us the primary destination for early education resources and support. The person in this role will be responsible for creating written content for our blog and web pages that attracts and engages prospects. The ideal candidate will have a strong writing background, experience working on an editorial team, and a passion for blending creative elements with SEO instructions to craft helpful, educational content.
What You’ll Do
- Research and write about industry-related topics, crafted in an educational tone
- Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/service
- Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
- Submit work to editors for input and approval
- Use our Content Management System to submit drafts for publication
- Collaborate with our content marketing team on timely content projects
Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities
- Excellent writer, with impeccable grammar and spelling; strong storyteller
- Experience working on an editorial team
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- On-page SEO experience is a nice-to-have, but not required
- Sharp attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Proficiency in or ability to quickly learn content management system (e.g. Hubspot, WordPress)
Brightwheel offers a competitive compensation package (base salary, equity and benefits) with a strong emphasis on equity-based compensation (ownership in brightwheel). For cash compensation, brightwheel sets standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In alignment with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual cash compensation for this role in Colorado is targeted at $69,000 – 86,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
